14th Grade
No longer content with being an independent scholar, I'm now officially a student again. Lacking a degree never seemed to be an issue in my career, but deep down, it always bothered me a bit.
So tomorrow morning, I'll be off to join those half my age, one step closer to a goal.

Congratulations! That's a big, brave step. You'll find many like you, especially if you've signed up for evening classes!
I'm mildly jealous - I'd love to go back to school. But until I figure out what I want to be when I grow up, there's not much point.
It's true, Christopher, as long as the goal is still worthy of reaching. At least once I mark this short-term goal off my list, I'll be able to check a new box on those demographic surveys - one other than "some college".
Thanks icancarryallthebasandthebabiestoo. (I enjoyed typing that screen name, actually.) Actually, they're all either morning classes or online classes, and they're all youngsters.
I don't know what I want to be either, sxkitten. But I don't really see anything wrong with that anymore. I won't stop me from actually growing up, but there's no reason we can't be a lot of different things as go along, I guess.
Huge. This is huge. There are no words that adequately describe my feelings about completing my degree (which I did 6 years after attending college for 4 years). I am so happy for you in doing this!
As someone who went back to school in his 30s, I commend you.
Enjoy yourself. Enjoy being responsible only for yourself. After the work world, school is pretty relaxed except for exam time.
