A New Year, A New Me(me)

1. I think Rats are great pets. I have not yet had one (and at the moment, this pet inn is full), but I find them fascinating. I have been known to spend hours at this site, longing for a rat of my own.
2. I floss compulsively, usually in my car. I keep extra dental floss in my glove compartment and whip it out at stop lights. I have been known to occasionally steer with my left knee so I can continue to floss (I don't do this often).
3. I'm addicted to the Forbes website. This is a recent development.
4. I am missing the female DNA that causes woment to enjoy shopping, pastels, and most things girly. When I shop, it's out of necessity and I usually go in, find what I need, and get out. The exception is Target, for which I have a love/hate relationship. I try to limit my exposure to Target or else I'd end up wasting money (see #5). I don't like lace. I don't like ruffles or dolls. I hate having to carry a purse and have a tiny thing now - I don't think I can downsize anymore.
5. I'm frugal. Okay, fine, I'm cheap. I buy most of my clothes at the thrift shop (it's always there or Target - it's their bullseye - it hypnotizes me). You might be surprised at the great stuff you can get at thrift shops - new brand name suits (still with tags on), jeans, blouses, jackets. Sure, you have to sort through a lot of crap and they won't always have your size, but it's well worth it. I even bought my tiny little purse there.
